Bridges provide key functions to a number of different scenarios. Each have their own characteristics and history and can often be unique in their purpose and suitability. We undertake both routine and detailed Bridge Surveys to meet current guidelines and standards. We have experience of dealing with steel deck, concrete deck, masonry Bridges and use tuck under CCTV and where Bridges are over water we use pontoons to ensure a detailed survey takes place under the Bridge deck.

In accordance with good practice and guidance we undertake regular monitoring visits of Bridge structures. Recording impact damage, cover spalling, movement and guardrail damage and traffic protection issues. These areas are risk assessed for clients and areas for immediate attention are flagged for attention. Control measures are suggested, giving a pragmatic approach to addressing risks in a controlled manner. Our close inspection CCTV can reach head room heights of 10m to the under deck.

Our engineers have undertaken a number of Bridge condition and safety assessments in Kent & East Sussex. These range form pedestrian bridges, agricultural access bridges and weir bridges. These consist of above and below deck assessments using specialist cameras and access equipment where required.

Bridge remedial repair specifications and tendering for impact damage or condition related defects. Safe load assessments and the revision of maximum safe gross weights for decks and approaches. Scour damage and monitoring  assessments, abutment support assessments and reinforcement cover damage & repairs.
